'cause nobody's perfect, no.

Back from Edinburgh :) It was good, six hours spent on trains both ways was a bit too much though.  School's started again, had to go in today and yesterday, and have to go in on tomorrow as well, but we get a four day weekend with much love to the Royal Wedding and the Bank Holiday. Exams in two weeks, got a Science exam on Friday 13th, mmmm what can I say? That's just destined to go badly, probably ending in me failing miserably :(
Other than school life's been pretty uneventful. Been obsessed with Jessie J's Nobody's Pefect, hence the post title :) Back to boring outfits, school uniform, no nail polish and school shoes. only three months left though until Summer break and the weather's lovely, so hopefully that should be staying with us in London ;) Is there such thing as your mood being controlled by the weather? Because I think I might just be one of those people that when the weather's good my mood is amazing, but in the rainy and cold and snowy months I tend to become pretty miserable. I heard about that on a youtube video a couple of weeks ago and that's stayed with me ever since. Not much happening really in my life. Boredom. Stuff.
Been really clumsy the past couple of days, it's really irritating me. Fell off an office chair backwards making a huge thumping noise so loud that my parents ran upstairs checking nobody was unconcious. Hitting my head on the bath. Walking into poles when not paying attention to where I'm walking. Spilling things all over the floor, forgetting things, walking into tables and having to apologize to them, yeah I know....that's strange.
Other than Nobody's Perfect, I'm starting to love a few other songs: Turning Tables by Adele, Till the World Ends by Britney Spears, Party Rock by LMFAO, Brick by Broken Brick by Paramore and Don't Hold Your Breath by Nicole Scherzinger. A mix of new and older classics, just they way I like it. Not many photos have been taken in the past couple of days, so I'll leave you with a photo of two of my absolute favourite-est things right now on this planet like ever, to be told in more detail in an upcoming post.

off to edinburgh

Okay so I'm going to Edinburgh tomorrow! Basically my Dad is from Scotland but has spend most of his life in England so he doesn't have a Scottish accent but he has four sisters, two living in Scotland. I have lots of family there, and I'm going to see them :) Four of them I haven't seen in nearly 3 years so it will be really nice to catch up with them. Okay, so now onto the interesting stuff. I haven't done a 'What's in my Bag' post yet but seeing as I had to pack for the 3 days up north I thought 'mm, why don't I film a sort of Whats-in-my-massive-and-unattractive-travel-bag post?' 19.04.11; amazing day

Okay so today was my friend Stuart's birthday, and to celebrate a group of friends and I went to Westfields. It was amazing, best day in ages. WE SAW PROFESSOR GREEN IN NANDOS;O I have a photo of us with him! My friend Sophia spotted him walking past so we all waited outside Nandos until he emerged:) Not stalkerish in the slightest, but phwoar it was worth it.
I'm second from the left :)

It was amazing, my friend was practically hyperventilating, and i then continued to tell just about every person I know. Still buzzing from meeting a celebrity:L

I'm not even sure how to put this. My day was already extraordinary, and I really wasn't expecting what happened next. I was in Starbucks with my friends, sitting down at a table with my friend Sophia. In the queue I see two girls I immdiately recognised, they were two of the people I watch religiously off youtube. Beautycrush and DaniellaChristina. I stand near the table, rather star-struck. I ask Sophia to take my camera over to the queue, where I said hello to them and told them that I watched their videos. I have a photo with them, and I'm really happy :) Meeting them was amazing, and although was for only 30 seconds :D

Ahh amazing day:) Should be posting some more soon,

Spring 2011 Wishlist

Okay so there's a few trendsthis spring that I've seen everywhere; on te catwalk, in shops, on people. Here is my Wishlist for the next few months:

- OPI San Tan Tonio
- Nude Brogues
- Black Espadrilles
- L'oreal Studio Secrets Primer
- John Frieda 3 Day Straight
- L'oreal Volume Million Lashes Waterproof Mascara
- Jane Norman Sheer Sleeveless Blouse
- Topshop Camel Sleeveless Shirt
- H&M Black (American Apparel Inspired) Skirt
- Miss Selfridge Petites Camel Peg Leg Trouser

As you can see I'm really into the camel/tan/burgundy trend, epsecially camel. I think it suits everyone, and can be worn in a way to look casual or classy.
Espadrilles are EVRYWHERE. The specific photo of these ones are from New Look, and retail at £6.99, but you can find them in High Street shops from £3 - £13.
Okay, so I've been on the hunt for a new mascara recently, specifically: waterproof. I tried out the original  L'oreal Volume Million Lashes at a mates house once and I LOVED it, so I think this  waterproof mascara will be pretty good.
Staying with L'oreal, I tried out a sample of their Studio Secrets Primer in a magazine a few months ago, and I loved the finish it left on my skin - incredibly soft, keeping my makeup on for a long time. And considering you only need a tiny bit every time you use it, the price of £11 is quite reasonable.
Now onto one of John Frieda's latest products: 3 Day Straight. I have reasonably straight hair, and I don't often straighten it (due to the fact I dislike my straighteners.) If I blowdry it straight after a wash it will generally look decent for a day or so, but the next day I have to start over and create a new school-suitable hairstyle for the day. I LOVE the idea of this product, meaning that you won't struggle to put your hair uniquely the next day, and it will stay frizz-free. After reading many reviews on blogs and watching a few videos on it on youtube, it seems as if it does exactly what the label says as well.
Now onto the sleeveless shirts, the Jane Norman sheer blouse is gorgeous; I tried it on yesterday when I went shopping. It fits really well as well. The Topshop one is in the on-trend camel colour, and the cut is really smart yet feminine and flattering. I tthink it could go well paired with denim shorts, jeans, skirts, everything - one thing I love about it.
Now onto the £7 H&M American-Apparel Inspired skirt - I love it. The American Apparel version is probably sturdier, and has pockets, but the £25 price tag is offputting - I'll happily settle for the £7 H&M knock-off.
Lastly are a pair of trousers mentioned in yesterday's post - Petites: Topshop & Miss Selfridge. This fabulous pair are retailed for £38, wayyyyy to expensive for me but gorgeous nonetheless. Those size 4 beauties will just stay in the shop.....screaming my name evry time I pass them.

That's all for now, I hope you enjoyed reading this post!

PETITE: topshop + miss selfridge

One thing I LOVE about Topshop and Miss Selfridge is that they have a petite section. I'm 4'11, the shortest girl in my year, and rarely do I find clothes that fit me really well, especially around the waist. These are my picks from Topshop and Miss Selfridge's Petite ranges - enjoy!

Please excuse my dodgy Paint-scribble writing, I couldn't figure out how to add numbers in a nice font that didn't overlap the photos.

2. Petites Camel Waterfall Jacket - £40, MISS SELFRIDGE
3. Petites Navy Tapered Trousers - £38 - MISS SELFRIDGE
